You could set the Add media control to URL and point it a page of mp3 links where it will automatically extract the sounds and add them to a playlist for you automatically. It is also managing the file management for you as well so the sound gets uploaded when the site is published. It is a bit clunky as the action is defining the link text and tooltip for the sound file.
